New F1 Teams

Will there be a new F1 team soon? Porsche and Audi are planning a partnership to enter F1 as a new team and predict that they will be ready by 2026. There may also be another team with Cadillac and Andretti motorsport, which will be the second American F1 team after Hass. They will drive with American drivers and predict they could be in F1 as early as 2024.


Driver Changes

In other F1 news, The FIA has decided to keep more than one race director after the controversy of the Abu Dhabi GP in 2021, with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Antonio Giovinnazzi will return to F1 as a reserve driver, alongside Shwartzman, as joint reserve drivers for Ferrari.


New Red Bull Junior Team Driver

A new driver joins the Red Bull junior team; will he be the next Verstappen?


As the son of 7 times race winner F1 driver Juan Montoya, and a promising career in go-karting, Red Bull Racing adviser Dr Helmut Marko said in a recent interview with “Auto Motor Und Sport,” a German auto-magazine, Sebastian Montoya will join Red Bull's F3 team. The 17-year-old made his debut in the F3 race in Zandvoort and scored 7 points with Campos Racing. Captioned on one of his Instagram posts, he said, “Excited to announce that I am now part of the Red Bull’s Official Junior Team!”


Car Launches

Ferrari will launch their car on February 14 for the 2023 season. Alpine is a planned event in London hosted on February 16th. Mclaren has announced its launch date on February 13, following Aston Martin-Alpha Tauri which will have a launch on February 11. One more team will be launched - Williams, on February 6.


New BMW Drift King?

The new-gen BMW M5 bagged the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous drift driving for 8 hours continuously.


Ken Block Has Sadly Passed Away

Sadly, 55-year-old drifter Ken Block passed away from a snowmobile accident in Utah USA on January 2nd 2022. In the neighbouring country of Oman, 11 people died last year from drifting accidents. The government has added a fine of 300 Omani rials (2,861 DHS) for those who are drifting.


First Fine of Rallying this Season

Rally diver Delecour has become the first rally driver to be penalised this season, and was fined a total of 1500 euros for washing his car in a service park.
