Midsummer's Night Dream

There are two shows taking place at KCD this year. A Midsummer Night's Dream and Annie. A lot of people know what Annie is about, but few know about AMSND, so hopefully this is the article you were looking for!
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
Hermia and Helena are best friends. Hermia was with Lysander and Helena was with Demetrius. That was how it was supposed to be. One day Egeus (Hermia’s Father) tells Demetrius he will marry Hermia instead. Will Hermia and Helena stay friends or will their relationship crumble with jealousy and betrayal?
Well I went to see A Midsummer Night's Dream and I must say it was absolutely amazing. The level of detail and thought put into the play was impeccable and there were also modernised parts that had been put in to make it more entertaining for younger audiences. Someone may or may not sing, ‘Hit me baby one more time!’ By Britney Spears, but who’s to say that that wasn’t in the original?! The costumes and set designs were beautiful and the actors showed a deep understanding of their characters and parts in the show.
Our very own Mrs Gore spoke to me and said “The talent of the students, their ability to learn all their lines in Shakespearean language was incredibly impressive and it was better than I ever would’ve imagined.”
But the main things we learnt from the play were:
“rawr”
“rawr” and
“rawrrawrrawrrawrrawr”
👏
